Kid-friendly Museum

Natural History Museum has on several occasions been nominated as the best museum for children in Aarhus.

Our exhibitions are very popular among children. Kids and their adults discover how small we humans really are when we stand face to face with a polar bear or a walrus. Kids can get close to their favorite animals whether we're talking lions, baboons or butterflies. And there is plenty of learning and fun facts.

School Holidays

We have special activities for children during all major school holidays. Touch a snake, meet Hans and Grete - our poisonous toads (weight: 2+ kilos!), join a NatureXpedition, or get your hands on a microscope. Contact the Museum for more information about upcoming holiday activities.

Activities in nature

Don't forget to visit our research station, Molslaboratoriet, approx. 40 minutes drive from the Museum. We have marked three trails, approx. 3,5 kilometers each, where you can be lucky and see wild horses and cattle as well as some of Denmark's most rare species.
