Parks
Mostly the parks consists of extensive well-trimmed lawns, used by city dwellers in the summer for play and picnic, but some areas are allowed to lie idle all year. So why not plant wild Danish flowers and grasses, and create a greater biodiversity of the flora, and thereby create more nectar and pollen sources for insects?
One excellent feature of the park is, that they are often distinguished by the large trees . These trees must not be cut down, but stand for as long as they can, and allowed to remain even when they fall and die. A lot of beetles and insects are closely associated with deadwood, like smooth newt who like to winter in the rotten branches and stumps near ponds.
