The six part elements
The three main elements of Rethink Urban Habitats (communicating information, physical initiatives and knowledge) is supported by six element parts.
HabWatch is about including the population and having it actively participate in mapping the city’s nature and biodiversity e.g. through the app The Nature Database.
BioBlitz is a 24-hour race, where locations, street blocks, cities or countries compete against each other by finding and mapping as much nature as possible. Who can find the most species?
So Wild! Focuses on planting wild flowers in the city. Why plant something boring when it is possible to plant something wild and beautiful? Let the cities bloom with native species!
HabLab is a cooperation – a development laboratory – which involves several institutions and authorities and where they work together to develop solutions and concepts for the city nature.
HabShop is the place, where the many ideas are converted into business such as consulting services, goods in stores or commercial events.
Hab4U is the framework for the communication of Rethink Urban Habitats – this being everything from exhibitions, art, social media, articles, television clips, guided tours or lectures.
