Hab4U
Hab4U is the framework for all the communication that takes place regarding Rethink Urban Habitats. There are many ways to communicate about the urban space, and art is an important player when it comes to pushing nature into the minds of people.
It is by disseminating information that you recruit people to rethink and incorporate nature in the city. You reach the largest audience by using electronic media. This is how the world works, and this must therefore be utilized. Through a series of cool videos, the city nature and the project are presented in addition to increasing the focus on various issues. The project also has a Facebook page where anyone who is interested in urban nature and the city's biodiversity can contribute.
Throughout the project, concrete communication activities take place in the urban space, such as guided tours to the BioBlitz, or spontaneous flash mobs. If migrating buzzards one day smash into the city, we will spontaneously alert everybody and settle down on Storetorv with binoculars and Christmas lights in our eyes!
The educational system can also be rethought. In collaboration with teachers, communication activities on urban nature are developed and the focus is on allowing and encouraging students to work on projects that are beneficial to the city nature and which enhance biodiversity.
